David Griffith is the former Senior Director of Advocacy and Government Relations. In this role, he lead ASCD's efforts to influence education decision-making at the federal, state, and local levels and the development and implementation of the association's legislative agenda. He played an instrumental role in promoting multimetric accountability and a whole child approach to education, as well as being a national speaker and resource expert on the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).

Prior to joining ASCD, Griffith was the director of governmental and public affairs for the National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE). Previously, he served as a congressional aide to two Representatives on Capitol Hill. In addition, he has worked on numerous political campaigns, was the legislative and grassroots coordinator for the American Arts Alliance representing the nation's leading nonprofit arts institutions, and traveled the country doing advance work for the 1996 Olympic Torch Relay.

He received his bachelor's degree from Villanova University and his master's degree in education from the University of Virginia's Curry School of Education.

Dolores Cormier-Zenon is an ASCD board member and the co-founder and President of the Patricia Colbert-Cormier Education Foundation. She serves as president of the Louisiana National Board Certified Teacher Network. Zenon has spent more than 20 years in education serving in various capacities, delivering and supporting classroom instruction along the K-12 continuum. She espouses the belief that all children deserve to receive an exceptional education in every ZIP code no matter their circumstance.

Jeff Charbonneau is currently the Principal of Zillah Middle School, Zillah, WA and was named the 2013 U.S. National Teacher of the Year.

Christopher E. Trombly, Ph.D. is currently an Assistant Professor, Educational Leadership & Policy Studies at Southern Connecticut State University.

Laura McCullough, EdD, recently retired after serving nine years as executive director of ASCD’s Virginia affiliate, where she was responsible for designing and overseeing a range of professional learning programs as well as outreach services such as innovation forums, VASCD’s Profile of a Classroom, and a statewide network for new teachers.

McCullough is active in policy and advocacy work, representing VASCD in the legislature and other policy arenas. She has taught at the elementary, middle, high school, and university levels, and has experience as an elementary principal and district administrator.
